Ryli Morgan: Actor

1. Please tell us a bit about your background. Where are you from and what or who inspired you to become an actor? Born and raised in Charlotte, NC -- I'm not sure who or what inspired me to become and actor, but I know that I've wanted that for as long as I can remember. 2. Who is your biggest influence as an actor? I try not to be influenced by anyone else's interpretations, but I do admire Angelina Jolie greatly. Beautiful, yet tough, and smart. 4. Of all the films that you've done, what would you consider your most memorable roles? I think my role as Nicole in EXPENDABLE was my most memorable, as I got to play a vampire, which is something I've always wanted to do. Plus, I got to be a bit of a bitch, rather than a meek character. 5. What aspects of these characters do you identify with? Their strength, mainly. I like to see that side of women portrayed, rather than us always being victims. 6. You and your husband Mark Baranowski collaborate in a lot of films; you have also been first assistant director on many of them. Tell us about some of those projects. The most memorable was our most recent, HEAVEN HELP ME, I'M IN LOVE... getting to work with such names as Brinke Stevens and Lynn Lowry, and also getting to direct my husband in a precarious scene with my character's roommate... that was such a thrill. 7. From an actor’s standpoint what is the most important thing a Director can bring to the set? Patience, and understanding... not everyone has the same "vision" of a scene, and if you have patience enough to help everyone come to that same "vision", then the better the film as a whole will become. 8. What is the biggest problem with Hollywood today? remakes... lack of originality... lack of new faces... I could go on and on... 9. Do you have any advice for aspiring actors? Don't stop trying... don't let anyone stand in your way. |

10. When all is said and done, what 3 things would you like for people to remember about you? I'd like for people to think that I was good at what I've done, of course... but also I'd like to be remembered as a kind person... a caring person. Just remember me fondly, and that will be good. 11. Here's where we give you a word or phrase and you give us the first thoughts that pop into your mind. Hollywood: cookie-cutter world Toxic Shock TV (shameless plug): cant' wait to see it! Biggest regret: no comment Biggest prick: no comment The funniest thing that has ever happened to you on a set: having to direct my husband in a scene with a naked female sitting on his lap Your biggest "break-thru" moment: there's a new one with each project You can only watch three movies for the rest of your life, which three: too difficult to answer You can only listen to three
albums for the rest of your life, which three: too difficult to
choose
