Long before The Lord of the Rings and King Kong it was the second feature and long forgotten and underrated film from Peter Jackson. This movie takes us to a world we’ve never seen before, taking us behind the scenes of a Muppet like style of show. Comparing this bunch to the Muppet’s is a crude over statement, the only thing they have in common is that their all stuffed a nimals, this is like the Muppet’s meet the Rolling Stones. Plenty of sex, drugs and rock n roll. It’s about the star of the show a hippo diva and her boss/lover a walrus whose having a little fun on the side with a up and coming young cat, and let me tell you this cat has claws when it comes to her man. A rabbit with a number of STD’s and a turd loving fly, also filling out the cast is the rat whose looking out for number one and the newest member of the cast fresh off the bus and thrown into a new world he’s never seen before.
The filming oh this movie was new and undone within its genre and it most definitely set the bar for tasteless humor. So if things of the tasteless nature bother you this is not the film for you. The acting was well simply done a lot of voice over work and very well done for what it was, some people in suites others were puppets but you feel like its all right there with you, as if you were a part of the Feebles audience watching the show and following them back stage afterwards. The story was put together very well, with its cutting edge raciness and the idea of it was simply magnificent, truly a movie that was never put into the light that it should have been shown. Many people will say this movie is dumb, but if it’s a true cult classic you are looking for that stops at nothing to make you laugh and pull you into the story then this is the film for you.
