Detroit – in the future – is crime ridden, and run by a massive company In the aftermath of economic and moral collapse, the city has become a cesspool of crime and anarchy, forcing the under funded police to fall under the stewardship of corporate juggernaut OCP. The company has developed a huge crime-fighting robot, dubbed the future of law enforcement; Robocop begins a one-man war on crime. The company sees a way to get back in favor with the public when a street gang kills a cop called Alex Murphy. Murphy’s body is reconstructed within a steel shell and named Robocop. The Robocop is very successful against criminals, and becomes a target of super villain Boddicker.

Robocop receives an astonishing Two Skipped Beats on the Roger Moore scale of movies.  For it’s time it was definitely a shot above the rest, with an awesome story line and a great cast this movie is one that for a long time held the highest body count in an action movie, but as always someone has out done them over of course.  It is a Scfi action flick that belongs in every fans collection, as for the sequels not so much so don’t miss Robocop, starring Peter Weller and Nancy Allen in this edge of your seat shoot’em up movie.
