Cousins Bo and Luke Duke, with the assistance of their lovely and physically gifted cousin Daisy and Uncle Jesse, must save the Duke family farm from destruction by the town’s corrupt and evil commissioner Boss Hogg. Their efforts constantly find the “Duke Boys” eluding authorities in “The General Lee”, the legendary orange 1969 Dodge Charger that keeps them one step ahead of the antics of the small town’s Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane. Trying to find away to get the girl and save the town of Hazzard the Duke boy’s battle it out with their wits, their car and their fists trying to beat the likes of Boss and Roscoe.Â
The filming on this movie to me was wonderful, seeing the General Lee flying high in the air on the big screen was a dream come true and without the use of any computer effects it made everything that much better. Real stunts done the real way, with a shit load of Chargers and one hell of a driver. The shooting was also a step up from Super Troopers and Club Dread, Jay is getting better with every film he makes, I can’t wait for the next one on his list to come out.
Receiving Two and a Half Skipped Beats on the Roger Moore Movie scale this is a true fans film, made for Dukes fans by a Dukes fan. It was wonderful to watch the stunt driving that was done in this movie, I can’t stress that enough that it was great to see the General flying high on the big screen that was the way to see so if you missed it watch it on a big screen TV. As always be afraid, be very afraid.  Â
