John Murdoch’s life has become a waking nightmare. Somehow gaining the abilities to do strange and unusual things just by using his mind. Plaguing his memories is his past that he cannot seem to get a grasp on. Hunted by the police of everyday life and buy a group of “Strangers” who want him dead for the abilities that he has gained. John must unravel his past and figure out how to beat the police and defeat the strangers. Alex Proyas did something different when he wrote and directed this movie; it had a style all of its own.
Receiving Three Skipped Beats on the Roger Moore movie scale, Dark City was definitely one of the strangest movies I’ve seen in a while. I thought that the special effects were really cool and that the story itself was done very well. The film had everything that you could want in a sci-fi thriller about a prostitute-killing madman with special mind powers. This one should be in everyone’s collection, it’s in mine is it in yours?Dark City (New Line Platinum Series)
