“The Eye”, is an upcoming remake of the Hong Kong film “Jian Gui” a blind woman who receives a cornea transplant so that she may see again. Instead, they allowed her to see into the supernatural world. She then embarks on a journey to find the previous owner. This thriller is set to start filming in the winter and be out by January of next year. Originally, Paramount had the rights and Renee Zellweger was set to be the star, but now Lionsgate is set to make the movie with Jessica Alba taking the lead and Frenchmen David Moreau and Xavier Palud directing.

“The Eye” is currently in post production with a scheduled release date of February 1, 2008.
