With the announcement that Taylor Lautner is returning to the Twilight sequel, New Moon, more rumors have been ablaze. The biggest rumor surrounds High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, who reported auditioned for the role of a werewolf named Leah Clearwater in upcoming flick New Moon. Not only does her agent deny the claims, but Summit Entertainment, who produced Twilight and is producing New Moon, has officially denied that Hudgens has been cast. Superherohype.com is reporting that the scheduled Tuesday January 20th court conference between Fox Studios’ and Warner Bros’ attorneys has been cancelled, fueling rumors about a possible settlement in the “Watchmen” case between Warner Bros and Fox. Fox initially sued Warner last February claiming the studio infringed on their right to make the comic book adaptation, and that Warner’s claim to the rights for the adaptation were in violation of Fox’s earlier ones. In December, when federal judge Gary A. Feess ruled that Fox has distribution rights to the film, Warner Bros faced the unfortunate prospect of having the film’s release blocked. The Lost Angeles Times’ “Hero Complex” blog is reporting that reportedly there are rumors regarding the surety of Samuel L. Jackson’s role as superspy and SHIELD commander Nick Fury in upcoming Marvel Studios projects such as “Iron Man 2″ and “The Avengers”.
