Another Hollywood starlet has been caught in the web of Iron Man 2‘s casting for Black Widow.

Not much sooner after actress Eliza Dushku, the new star of Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”, announced she was interested in the comic book-adapted role, actress Scarlett Johansson is reportedly to want to take on the role as well.

This marks the third high-profile actress to be rumored for the role of Natasha Romanoff, or her evil side Black Widow, making it one of Hollywood’s currently most coveted roles.

The first female offered the part was Emily Blunt, but she may be unable to accept due to conflicting movie schedules.

Blunt is currently signed on for an adaptation of Gulliver’s Travels, co-starring Jack Black, and the voice of Juliet in the upcoming Gnomeo and Juliet.

Johansson’s schedule is clear for now, having just signed on to one project, entitled Amazon.

Even though it’s uncertain whether or not Blunt will step down, Johansson has reportedly met with the big producers and is in negotiations to fill the spot.

Marvel has yet to confirm or deny what’s going on in the situation.
