According to director Michael Bay on his Shoot for the Edit forms. He may take a one year break from Transformers, and not shoot Transformers 3 until 2012. Diamond Heist Article Getting Adapted

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures has purchased the rights to the Wired Magazine article “The Untold Story of the World’s Biggest Diamond Heist,” by writer Joshua Davis, with plans to produce a big-screen version of the incredible story in the article. Josh Abrams (Star Trek) will take on the project as a producer and potentially as a director through his Bad Robot imprint. The production-management company Circle of Confusion, which manages Davis, is attached to produce alongside Davis, who will be an executive producer on the project. No writer has been hired yet. A slew of rumors regarding casting for the upcoming “Thor” movie for Marvel, which is being directed by Kenneth Branagh, have hit the internet, according to Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood. Rumors point towards the studio pushing to cast Josh Hartnett in one of several roles, including nemesis and Asguardian trickster god Loki. According to a Variety report, Walt Disney Studios has attached director Andy Fickman, who recently directed the Duane Johnson-helmed action flick “Race To Witch Mountain”, to direct the big-screen adaptation of the graphic novel “Monster Attack Network”.
