BroadcastNow has released a slew of promotional posters, including one for the upcoming mini-series “The Prisoner”, a reimagining of the classic British TV series from the 1960’s that will star Sir Ian McKellen and James Caviezel, coming to cable channel AMC this year.

The remake has been in the works since 2005, and will be an updated post-Cold War take on the original series, where a secret agent is captured and sent to The Village, a hidden facility that appears to be both a forced retirement home for former spies, but also a facility for extracting information and secrets from spies that is used by sinister forces. Labeled as “Number 6″, the protagonist struggles to not only escape the Village, but also to discover its true purpose, as all the while the inhabitants of the quaint-looking town play a variety of psychological games with him, testing the limits of his sanity.
