Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to the new AIT/PlanetLar graphic novel “Hench” and are planning to develop it into a vehicle for Danny McBride, who is set to write the script alongside Shawn Harwell. Neal Moritz of Original Films, alongside Kickstart Productions’ Jason Netter and McBride. Ken Levin and Ori Marmur will executive produce “Hench”. McBride will play the comic’s titular character, a football player who suffers a career-ending injury and needing a job, ends up signing on as a henchman for a successful evil supervillain. Paramount and Sony Pictures have announced the release date for the long-awaited 3-D motion capture feature film “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn”, directed and produced by Steven Spielberg, and produced by Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy. The film will be released by Paramount in the U.S. on December 23rd, 2011. The film stars Jamie Bell as Tintin, a young reporter who constantly gets involved in high-adventure and intrigue in the search of good stories, and Daniel Craig as Red Rackham, the film’s villain.
