The first image of Mark Valley (”Fringe”) as Christopher Chance, aka The Human Target, from the pilot picked up by Fox for a full series, has hit the web. You can check out the picture below, courtesy of Krypton Site.

“The Human Target” is based on the DC/Vertigo character and title, originally created for DC in 1972 for several back-up features and later on adopted for a mini-series in 1999 and a full series in 2003, both from DC’s “mature” imprint Vertigo Comics. Christopher Chance, the Human Target, is an unusual mercenary and bodyguard who takes on the identity of his clients, drawing fire away from them towards him, making him a literal human target.

The series will also feature Jackie Earle Haley (”Watchmen”) and Chi McBride (”Pushing Daisies”). Fox announced that “The Human Target” will be joining their 2009/2010 TV schedule.
