Milla Jovovich has signed onto “Stone” alongside Robert De Niro and Edward Norton, which will be directed by John Curran from an Angus MacLachlan screenplay. The film is being produced by Mimran Schur Pictures. Jordan Schur, Holly Wiersma, and David Mimran are producing, with Nu Image/Millennium’s Danny Dimbort, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, and Rene Besson on as executive producers. Jovovich will play the wife of a convicted arsonist, played by Norton. She engages in a secret affair with his parole officer, played by De Niro, entrapping him in a series of deadly mental games in an effort to get Norton paroled. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Ewan McGregor (The Men Who Stare at Goats, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith) is attached to star in the romantic drama “The Last Word” with director David Mackenzie (London Fields, Spread, Dirty Diamonds). The Scottish-Danish-German film is described as a love story set in a city where the populace are slowly starting to lose their sensory perception. Shooting is set to start in September. Denzel Washington is attached to direct as well as produce alongside Alcon’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.
