I hope this movie ends up being cool. It could be totally lame. I am a big fan of Shyamalan, I even liked his later work.

Of course it’s not gonna look exactly like the cartoon. What I love about it is that M. Night Shyamalan is taking a different twist on the look of the characters. I’m really excited. I think the important thing to note in all this is that he is working with the original creators of the show. Who cares if the characters look different. You can’t always expect the movie to be exactly the same as the tv show. I think the characters look wicked awesome. I think what it’s really going to come down to is if the actors can portray the personality of the characters well, not how they look.

Cool! I really like that. I’m glad they didn’t attempt doing their hair as exactly as it is in the cartoon, and I really love the clothing, despite that it (as my friend got depressed about) isn’t blue. Love Justin’s comment

I agree with Justin, but I just can’t get past the fact that they cast Jackson Rathbone to play Soka. I mean think about it, Jackson Rathbone, Jasper Cullen if you will, playing Soka. Just doesn’t seem right to me.

I don’t think it’s wrong that the actort of Jasper Cullen/Hale ist cast as Sokka.
An actor is defined by playing as many different roles as possible.
I think the problem with films is that you can’t judge actors before watching the certain film. You can have an impression from former works, but an actor develops.
I like both of them. They don’t look exactly as in the cartoon, but they look good.
And I think you should always keep some diffences between books and films or cartoons and films.

…well, i guess they look alright but they’re still white. The original characters are unique because they all have their own unique ethnicity and now they aren’t. They water tribe were dark skinned eskimos and the fire nation were …chinese, maybe? Either way, I’ll still watch but I’m disappointed in Shamalan for the change.

jackson looks super awesome as usual- i’m jus glad they didn’t cut his hair off to look exactly like sokka, cause if they would’ve, i would’ve seriously pissed 4 real.

i wouldnt say i’m unhappy with the cast choice, but i can’t say i am happy…
i wish that katara was just a bit older and possibly an eskimo, or at least indian, and sokka looks to old and serious for the role, and should be of course eskimo as well… but then again, i can’t judge till the movie comes out
