At this past weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con “Book Of Eli” panel, Gary Oldman let slip that the third Batman movie begins filming in 2010. Gary Oldman played police commissioner Gordon in the film “The Dark Knight” starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger.

“I think the next Batman is next year, [...] We start shooting next year. You didn’t hear that from me.” Oldman said to a fan at the panel who asked about the follow-up to “The Dark Knight”. Oldman portrayed James Gordon, Batman’s GCPD ally and eventual police commissioner, in “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight”.
