Variety is reporting that Bridget Moynahan has joined the cast of “Battle: Los Angeles” from director Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Killing Room) for Columbia Pictures.

The sci-fi invasion action film also stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, Rabbit Hole), and is about a Marine platoon that faces off against aliens who come to Earth and begin to lay waste to and invade Los Angeles.

Jonathan Liebesman is directing off of a script from Chris Bertolini. Neal Moritz is producing. Production begins in the fall.
