Kevin Tancharoen (the upcoming “Fame”), has been tapped by Universal to direct the upcoming sci-fi/action film “Arcana.” The script is being written by John Ridley, who is known for his work on “Three Kings”.

Brett Ratner who is best know for producing the popular television show Prison Break will produce the project, with Ratner and Jay Stern producing through Rat Entertainment, and John Cheng executive producing. The script is by John Ridley.

“Arcana” is described as a science fiction-inspired martial arts film in the vein of “Blade Runner” and “300″.
