Funnyman Robin Williams, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is set to star in the romantic comedy “Wedding Banned” for Touchstone Pictures.

The film centers on a divorced couple who team up to kidnap their daughter on her wedding day, to spare her from making the same mistake they feel they made years ago. The couple then rekindle their own romance as they hit the road to avoid not only law enforcement, but also the angry groom who wants his bride-to-be back.

Jack Amiel and Michael Begler wrote “Wedding Banned”, and no director is attached yet.
