Ryan Condal Writing Queen and Country

Ryan Condal has been hired to write the script for a big-screen adaptation of renowned writer Greg Rucka’s comic “Queen & Country” for 20th Century Fox. Ryan is repped by ICM and Energy Entertainment, he is also writing “Hercules” for Universal Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment. The adaptation of Rucka’s Oni Press comic, according to The Hollywood Reporter, centers on a female British Special Ops agent named Tara Chase, who ends up on the run through Eastern Europe after completing a hit on a target. More Cast Announcements For Priest

Variety.com is reporting that Stephen Moyer (“True Blood”) and Lily Collins (“90210″) have joined the cast of the live-action adaptation of “Priest” alongside Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q and Karl Urban. Directed by Scott Stewart, the film is based on the world of the Korean manga and is about a desolate future world ravaged by a war between humanity and vampires. A warrior priest (Bettany) abandons his order to track down a roving gang of vampires, who slaughtered his family and kidnap his niece. According to Slashdot, the British paper The Sunday Express is saying that filming on “Twisted Land of Oz”, based on comic creator Todd McFarlane’s adult-oriented figurine series is slated to possibly begin in 2010. Slashdot is also reporting that Dakota Fanning (The Runaways) is “being tipped” to lead the project. Not for children under 17. McFarlane Toys’ second Monsters series is based on the L. Frank Baum novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The classic characters in the book receive a bit of a ‘twist’ in this series, an artistic interpretation of what could have been in an alternate Wizard of Oz universe.
