Richard Jenkins, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz have been tapped to headline in “Let Me In,” the remake of the Swedish vampire film “Let the Right One In,” according to Variety.

Hammer Films is producing the film, which has a tentative release date set of sometime in 2010. Matt Reeves (”Cloverfield”) will be directing the project.

The horror tale tells the story of a young boy and his friendship with a quiet and mysterious new girl to the neighborhood, who happens to actually be a vampire. Smit-McPhee and Moretz will play the kids, and Jenkins is the young girl’s guardian.

Production is beginning in New Mexico this fall.
