Anne Heche has signed on to not only play the female lead in “Cedar Rapids” from Fox Searchlight opposite Ed Helms, but also to join the cast of “The other Guys” for Columbia alongside Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg.

“Cedar Rapids” is about insurance agent going to an insurance convention to save the jobs of his colleagues, and Heche will play a woman who befriends Helms’s character. In “Other Guys,” Heche will play a businesswoman who hires two police officers (Ferrell and Wahlberg) to look into mysterious going-ons in her company.
