Shock Till You Drop is reporting that “Sorrow”, the horror comic from creators Rick Remender, Seth Peck, and Francesco Francavilla, has been optioned for a live-action, big-screen adaptation by Twisted Pictures.

Screenwriter Michael Hidalgo is writing the script about a young woman and her friends, who end up stranded in a ghost town where the spirits of the dead are intent on possessing the bodies of the living.

Twisted Pictures is best known for producing the long-running horror “Saw” franchise.

“Sorrow” was initially a four-issue miniseries released by Image Comics, the home of titles like “Spawn” and “The Walking Dead,” in 2007. “Saw” producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg and Oren Koules are attached to produce the project.
