Mania.com is reporting that Sam Worthington (”Terminator: Salvation”, “Avatar”, and “Clash of the Titans”) will star in an adaptation of “The Last Days Of American Crime”, the Radical Publishing comic book.

Created by Rick Remender, “American Crime” is about low-level career criminal Graham Brick, who is finally working on the big score. Unfortunately, the media leaks a plan by the US government to begin broadcasting a mind-control signal that will eliminate the mental urge to commit illegal activities. Now Graham and his team don’t have weeks, they have days, to finish off the biggest job of their lives before the signal takes over.

Remender himself is writing the screenplay for the film.
