Variety.com is reporting that Universal Pictures is attaching Carl Erik Rinsch to direct “47 Ronin,” the historical samurai epic that will star Keanu Reeves. Scott Stuber is producing through Stuber Pictures, with Pam Abdy producing. Rinsch has previously shot various commercials for RSA, Heineken, and Mercedes. “47 Ronin” would be the latest retelling of the famous true story from Japen’s feudal history.
