Marvel Entertainment has announced that Stuart Townsend, Tadanobu Asano, and Ray Stevenson have been cast in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the Marvel Comics title “Thor,” as the fan-favorite characters The Warriors Three. Fandral will be played by Townsend, Hogun by Asano, and Volstagg will be portrayed by Stevenson. The trio of warriors are heroes of Asgard and fight side-by-side with the god of Thunder. The three first appeared in 1965 in Marvel’s “Journey Into Mystery” as supporting “Thor” characters. “Thor” is slated to hit theaters May 20th, 2011.
