“The First Avenger: Captain America” director Joe Johnsto, whose “The Wolfman” hits theaters February 12th, has revealed that Marvel Studios is planning a June start for for filming on the big-screen adaptation of Marvel’s famous character, Captain America. A Captain America movie has been in the works since 1997. The shield-wielding, American flag-themed character first appeared in 1941in Marvel Comics’ predecessor Timely Comics”, and was created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon. “The First Avenger: Captain America” has a tentative release date through Paramount of July 22nd, 2011. Kevin Smith’s upcoming Warner Bros’ police comedy “A Couple Of Dicks” has now changed it’s name to “Cop Out.” Smith told Entertainment Weekly the main reason for the switch was to allow for radio advertising before 9 pm, which would have been impossible with the title “A Couple of Dicks”. “Cop Out” stars Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan, Jason Lee, Seann William Scott, Adam Brody, and Michelle Trachtenberg. the film is about a pair of cops (Willis and Morgan) tracking down a stolen baseball card and getting involved with gangsters, drug money, and a mysterious Mexican beauty.
