Fourth ‘Pirates’ Movie to Begin Filming in Hawaii this Summer

Governor of Hawaii Linda Lingle publicly announced on January 19 that ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,’ the fourth installment in the popular Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films series starring Johnny Depp, will begin shooting on the islands of Kaua’i and O’ahu this summer. It was also announced that it’s being directed by Rob Marshall, and is expected to be released in summer 2011. Summit Entertainment has acquired the feature-film rights to the romantic zombie novel “Warm Bodies”. Jonathan Levine (“The Wackness”, “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane”) has been attached to both write and direct the film, based on the book of the same name by Isaac Marion. Summit Entertainment Devloping ‘Push’ Television Series

A television series based on the 2009 film science fiction thriller ‘Push’ is currently in joint development by Summit Entertainment, the movie’s distributor, and independent studio E1 Entertainment.  The announcement, which came on January 19, also stated the pilot is being written by David Hayter, who is also executive producing the series with Dark Hero Studios partner Benedict Carver.
