Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, the controversial couple from last year’s season of ‘The Bachelor,’ got married on Saturday, February 27, PEOPLE has reported. The two married in front of about 300 guests at the Terranea Resort’s Palos Verdes Meadows Lawn bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The outdoor ceremony will be televised on March 8 during the ABC special ‘The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding.’
Malaney wore a $45,000 strapless Monique Lhuillier gown and Neil Lane jewelry. ‘American Idol’ contestant Jason Castro sang ‘Over the Rainbow’ as she walked down a 200-foot aisle. The couple said their vows under a driftwood-covered arbor, and antique butterfly cages were hung throughout the area. The ceremony lasted 15 minutes, and ended with the release of white doves.
Among the guests were fellow ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette’ contestants Jillian Harris and her fiancé Ed Swiderski, Trista and Ryan Sutter, DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csinsak and Kiptyn Locke. They sat on white linen ottomans and sofas on the lawn. After the ceremony, they attended the reception in the resort’s ballroom, which was decorated with white, green and black decor.
After returning from their honeymoon, Mesnick and Malaney will return to Seattle. They have lived together there with Mesnick’s son Ty since September.
