Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack was intentionally left out of her will, TMZ reported on March 2, and everything the actress owned has been left to her mother Sharon.  Years before the couple married, Murphy drafted a handwritten will stating that all of her assets should be left to her mother, and the actress left the provision the same, even after her 2007 wedding.

Monjack told TMZ that he approved the move.  He added that after their wedding, Murphy had a formal will drafted along with a trust, leaving everything to Sharon.  Monjack also had lawyers add the sentence “I am married to Simon Monjack, who I have intentionally left out of this will” to the document.

At this time, it’s not publicly known how much Murphy’s estate is worth.  But Sharon recently put the Hollywood home, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, on the market with an asking price of $7.25 million.

The news comes after the coroner who worked on Murphy released a final report on February 23, saying the actress had elevated levels of Vicodin and over-the-counter cold medicine in her system.  No illegal substances were found, even though the coroner initially reported that pneumonia was the primary cause of death, with multiple drug intoxication and a low blood count as contributing factors.
