Sir Ian McKellan, who will confirmed on his personal website that “The Hobbit” films, prequels to the highly successful “Lord Of The Rings” trilogy of films, is set to start shooting in June of 2010. The statement reads; “THE HOBBIT’s, two films, start shooting in New Zealand in June. Filming will take over a year. Casting in Los Angeles, New York City and London has started. The script too proceeds. Dennis Iliadis (the “Last House On The Left” remake) has been attached to direct a big-screen adaptation of the comic book series “Dead@17″. Speaking with MTV, series creator Josh Howard talked about the adaptation of his comic, which is about a girl who is killed but then mysteriously reborn and tasked to fight demons that live amongst humanity. Howard wouldn’t comment on whether or not Vanessa Hudgens (the “High School Musical” series) is attached formally for the lead role. The news of Said Taghmaoui’s involvement put us at four: Taghmaoui as a leader of a group of thieves, Rachel Nichols as one of the Queen’s bodyguards, Stephen Lang as a sadistic warlord and, of course, Jason Momoa as our hero. ABC is ending the relationship between the highly publicized gay couple, Kyle and Fish, on its soap opera ‘One Life to Live,’ TV Guide Magazine reported on March 12. The couple is reportedly being brought to an end because the show’s fans have responded negatively, and the show has seen a decline in ratings since last year. David Schwimmer, best known for playing Ross Gellar on the hit NBC 1994-2004 sitcom ‘Friends,’ is engaged to his photographer girlfriend, Zoe Buckman.
