Walt Disney Studios just sent us the latest movie trailer for the upcoming film “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” by director Jon Turteltaub and starring Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider 2, Kick-Ass), Jay Baruchel (Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian), Alfred Molina (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) and Monica Bellucci. Synopsis: The film revolves around a sorcerer who recruits and trains a young protege to help him fight the forces of evil in modern-day New York City, and is a loose adaptation of the famous mini from Disney’s “Fantasia” from 1940. Oprah Winfrey, who has been rocked by scandal surrounding her Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa since it first opened in 2007, has adverted the latest crisis from going any further, E!Online is reporting. The talk show queen has settled the defamation suit former headmistress Lerato Numvoyo Mzamane filed against her. The two personally meet with each other, and settled the suit out-of-court. The lawyers for the two released a joint statement following the meeting, saying “They are happy that they could resolve this dispute peacefully to their mutual satisfaction.” After being fired from the academy, which is located in Johannesburg, during allegations that a dorm matron abused some…

Jon Bernthal (“The Ghost Writer”) as been announced as the actor cast in AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” an adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s post-apocalyptic zombie graphic novel. The series and book series are about a band of survivors in a world after an epidemic of zombie attacks and infections, greating panic and chaos. The group are led by former police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of somewhere safe. Bernthal is slated to play Grimes’ partner and friend Shane.
