Paul W.S. Anderson (the “Resident Evil” franchise) has been attached to direct a big-screen version of “Buck Rogers”. Slated to be released in 3D, the film featuring one of the first pop-culture sci-fi adventureers is being written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (“Iron Man”). Buck Rogers was created as a serial comic in the 1920′s and has been adapted into various media since then. Angela Bassett has joined the cast of the big-screen adaptation of DC’s “Green Lantern” as Dr. Amanda Waller. Amanda Waller is a DC character known for being a government agent who leads the supervillains-on-parole group known as Suicide Squad, as well as being a member of the superhuman spy agency called Checkmate. She was created by John Ostrander, Len Wein, and John Byrne in the late 1980s. Kellen Lutz (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) has been announced as joining Relativity Media’s “War of the Gods,” a Greek myth fantasy movie directed by Tarsem Singh. Universal is domestically distributing the project, formerly titled “Dawn Of War”.
