Hurry up and take a dip in the lake while you can because once Piranha 3D hits theaters on August 27th, you won’t want to swim with the fishies anymore. As compared to the teaser, this one gives us more of a taste of what to expect from this Alexandre Aja film – or more of what these bloodthirsty piranhas taste. When an underwater quake lets loose a slew of man-eating fish thought to have vanished millions of years ago, they head straight for Lake Victoria, a spring break hotspot. A group of strangers must band together and do whatever it takes to not be eaten alive by these mini…

Forget plastic surgery and Botox; now we’ve got to worry about aging stars being Photoshopped to death. The first two Sex and the City 2 posters certainly overly glamorized Sarah Jessica Parker, but at least she still looked like herself. The newest poster includes all four leading ladies, two of which simply don’t look right. Cynthia Nixon is the big winner here. She may have been banished to the far right side, but at least she looks pretty good. Kristin Davis takes a step closer to plastic, but is still passable. Poor SJP, front and center and seemingly cross-eyed. At least the Kim Cattrall atrocity will avert some of the…

Christopher Nolan is taking his sweet time giving us noteworthy information about his third Batman fill, but at least Production Weekly is here with some goods. According to their Twitter feed, Warner Bros. will release Batman 3 on July 20th, 2012. Apparently Nolan isn’t concerned about going up against a massive amount of competition. Batman 3 joins The Avengers, Star Trek 2 and the new Spider-Man reboot in the ever-increasing summer 2012 lot. Hopefully the second to last week in July will prove to be Nolan’s lucky spot. Back in 2008, on the very same weekend, The Dark Knight began its run to a whopping $1 billion worldwide and eventually…

No more Photoshopping necessary; a picture of Chris Hemsworth as Thor has finally arrived. The image isn’t as revealing as I hoped, but it does provide a decent sense of what to expect from the costume department. Blond hair? Check. Checkered sleeves? Check. Chest plate circle things? Check. So far, so good. After Batman Begins and Dark Knight, I’ve grown partial to superhero movies with a dark side. The more campy versions like Spider-Man were fun for a while, but apparently have expired. Between Hemsworth’s super serious facial expression and the darker duds, Thor appears to be heading in the right direction. But the question still remains; is Hemsworth right…

Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have avoided additional jail time in their hotel bill-skipping case, People.com reported on April 28. A judge in Santa Barbara Superior Court accepted a plea deal from the couple behind closed doors. The judge dismissed all charges against the 59-year-old actor, while his 46-year-old wife pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor of defrauding an innkeeper. She will have a year to perform 240 hours of community service. Evi said she will work with the homeless in Los Angeles, and will develop a theater program for them. Randy said that he and Evi were treated “a bit more harshly by authorities because of my celebrity…

While Sandra Bullock’s personal life took a turn for the worst earlier this year after numerous women claimed to have had affairs with her husband Jesse James, the Oscar winner confirmed to PEOPLE that she has adopted a son. Bullock appears on the April 28 issue of the magazine with her 3-and-a-half month old son, Louis Bardo Bullock, who she adopted from New Orleans right after he was born in January. ‘The Blind Side’ actress decided to keep the adoption a secret from even her friends until after the Academy Awards. She said that “I did not want him brought into a world that would not have been too sincere…

Lionsgate loves Katherine Heigl and crime thrillers. Not only is the company behind her upcoming film Killers, but it’s acquired the U.S. distribution rights for Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment’s One for the Money as well, both of which are actioners. But don’t expect One for the Money to be Killers round two; the former is more of a suspense drama, whereas the latter is a flat out comedy. One for the Money is based on Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books, a series about a recently divorced woman without a job and a purpose. With nowhere else to turn, she takes a job from her cousin who owns a…
