The writing team of Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro (“Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time”, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”) are once again teaming up with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” director Jon Turteltaub for the script to “National Treasure 3”.

The third film in the “National Treasure” franchise about historian and cryptologist Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicholas Cage) discovering lost secrets and treasures of American history, the first film was released in 2004 and earned $347.5 million worldwide. Its 2007 sequel, “National Treasure: Book of Secrets”, broken $457.4 million worldwide.

No casting information or story ideas have been released yet though Nicholas Cage, who will next been seen in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, has been assumed as returning to the franchise.
