Check out a brand new promo photo featuring Kristen Stewart in a Sex Pistols shirt for the film “The Runaways” starring Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and Dakota Fanning. Both Kristen and Dakota also star in The Twilight Saga co-starring Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Synopsis: The Runaways (Neon Angels) is based on lead-singer Cherie Currie’s book ‘Neon Angel’ – a reflection of her experiences as a rock star, but also delivering a strong anti-drug warning to teens and others. David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” serves as a metaphor for the narrative– a slow countdown, a surreal but spectacular rise to fame, then alienation and burnout – a long long way from home.

The movie chronicles THE RUNAWAYS from 1975 – 1977; formed by teenage girls living near Hollywood, CA., and heavily manipulated by their manager Kim Fowley as ‘jailbait rock’ (all the girls were 16 or younger when the band recorded their first album). The band ultimately succeeds on their own merits as musicians, becoming the first all-girl rock-band to ever break into the world of arena-filling hard rock acts.

Just because she plays a badass chick like Joan Jett and nails it to a T doesn’t mean she is a lesbian. I haven’t seen anything anywhere in the press or interviews to lead to that fact. Fact is she had a long relationship with M. Angarano…haven’t seen her hooked up with any chicks. Wishful thinking on the minds and hearts of the lesbian world…she is truly hot and I would even turn lesbian for her….but can you really say she is gay because she doesn’t dress or act like all the other plastic superficial airheads in HW? Just because someone dresses or wears something that is their own style..maybe a little tomboy, so what….it doesn’t mean she’s gay. But, if I am proven wrong by a reliable source…maybe from her own mouth….all the power to her…live and love Kristen….fuck all the haters.

Long live Joan Jett and kudos to K-Stewart for playing her to a T. The Runaways were–are–an amazing band and anyone who truly likes punk-rock (the REAL kind, not the scene so-called “punk” of today…) would appreciate The Runaways. Oh, and kudos for wearing a Sex Pistols shirt, they were an awesome band and I only WISH I could have been alive when they toured the US…alas that was thirty-so years ago and I’m only 16.
