‘Gossip Girl’ co-stars Ed Westwick and girlfriend Jessica Szohr have broken up due to gossip, the New York Post announced on April 8. Westwick reportedly dumped Szohr after hearing rumors that she was flirting and getting close with heir Marco Minuto, one of his closest friends.

Westwick ended the relationship with Szohr over the phone last week after some of his other friends told him of her alleged infidelity. She immediately flew to London, where Westwick is filming ‘The Chalet Girl,’ to try to hold on to the relationship, but the Post added that he is still too hurt and distraught to even talk to her.

The rumors claim that Szohr was being openly affectionate with Minuto while celebrating her birthday in L.A. They later went back to the same hotel, and while there isn’t any confirmation that the two took things any further, Westwick’s friends immediately told him what appeared to be going on. Szohr adamantly denied that anything happened with Minuto.

Westwick and Szohr began dating in 2008, even though they were both dating other people at the time. Her rep denied the claims, saying “The story has no merit,” while his rep declined to comment on the rumors.
