After receiving rave reviews for playing an expectant mother in the popular Broadway play ‘Time Stands Still,’ Alicia Silverstone is looking forward to having a child of her own more than ever, People.com reported on April 25. The 33-year-old actress told PEOPLE that wearing the pregnancy suit for the play was so much fun, and “I loved the feeling of pretending to be pregnant and having little arms and legs and this big belly.”
The former ‘Clueless’ star added that ‘Time Stands Still’ only increased her interest in having a child; she said she’s “destined to be a mother,” as she’s wanted to have a baby since she was 2 years old. Silverstone will celebrate her fifth wedding anniversary with musician-husband Christopher Jarecki in June, and added that “I can’t wait to be pregnant.”
However, Silverstone also said she doesn’t have time to become a mother right away. She is filming the comedy ‘Butter’ with Jennifer Garner, who has two young daughters of her own. Her vegan cookbook, ‘The Kind Life,’ recently reached the top of The New York Times bestseller list. Silverstone will also begin filming the comedy ‘Vamps’ with ‘Clueless’ writer-director Amy Heckerling. She said she’s looking forward to playing a vampire and reuniting with Heckerling, adding “…it’ll be great to be a grownup and work with her.”
