With just two days to go until Splice invades theaters, the film’s Internet trailer arrives and, like the others, it’s fantastic. This one taps into a key asset of the film left untouched by previous promo material, the reality of the situation. It begins with a timeline depicting monumental events including the defining of the structure of DNA in 1953, the cloning of Dolly in 1996 and concluding with the unthinkable, the splicing of human DNA.

Splice is a well-constructed and thoroughly entertaining fictional story infused with an eerie hint of truth making it utterly terrifying. You can read my full thoughts on the film here, but for now, check out the powerful new trailer below.
