In an effort to keep her alleged stalker away from her, Sandra Bullock filed a temporary restraining order against Thomas James Weldon on July 19, E! Online is reporting. The Academy Award-winner claims Weldon has been stalking her for the past seven years, and has repeatedly tried to contact her.
The restraining order also protects her adopted son Louis, his nanny and her housekeeper and assistant. An August 6 hearing has been set to review her latest request.
Bullock was granted a permanent restraining order, which lasts three years in California, against Weldon in 2003. After it expired in 2006, she was granted a three-year extension. After the first restraining order was issued, Weldon checked himself into a psychiatric facility in Tennessee.
Weldon checked himself out last month, and stopped at a an emergency room in Wyoming, saying he was suffering anxiety and sleeplessness. He also told doctors that he had driven from Tennessee to meet Bullock at her Jackson Hole, Wyoming home, and that he wasn’t taking his medication.
