Get ready to see Jay Baruchel like you’ve never seen him before because the poster for The Trotsky is here. Okay, Baruchel still plays a geeky guy, but Leon Bronstein is unlike any nerd you’ve seen before; he genuinely believes he’s the reincarnation of the Bolshevik revolutionary leader Leon Trotsky. No, really. Not only does Leon organize a strike at his father’s factory, he goes after a girl because her name is Alexandra and she’s nine years older than he is, just like the real Trotsky.

This poster is pretty simple, just taking an image of Baruchel as Leon and slapping some text on it, but that’s really more than enough because like this poster, the whole film is really Baruchel’s show. Take one look at him and just a quick glance at the text and you know exactly what you’re in for. This is a fantastically twisted high school comedy that proves geek isn’t a narrow stereotype; Baruchel’s got range.
