The producers of the hit ABC reality show ‘The Bachelor’ and is successful spin-off are hoping that Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez, the man she picked to be her husband on ‘The Bachelorette’s season finale on August 2, will actually get married. Popeater.com is reporting that since Fedotowsky was one of the most popular bachelorettes in the show’s history, the producers are even more nervous about her relationship with Martinez.
“After the disaster of Jake and Vienna, everyone working on the show is nervous about what another failed romance would do to the show’s franchise,” Popeater is also reporting. “The show desperately needs a success story fast in order to keep viewers coming back for the next season.”
Therefore, the producers are planning to televise Fedotowsky and Martinez’s wedding ceremony, which is scheduled for the spring. Producers not only want to remind America that the show does have ‘happy endings,’ but they also want to bring in similar numbers to Trista and Ryan’s wedding in 2003. The first Bachelorette’s wedding drew in over 17.1 million viewers, and so far, has been the only one in the spin-off’s history.
