Paris Hilton was arrested just before midnight on August 28 in Las Vegas for suspicion of possessing cocaine, Popeater.com is reporting. Officers pulled the 29-year-old socialite over and allegedly found a white powder in her purse that tested positive as cocaine. ABC News is also reporting that she was booked into the Clark County detention center, but was quickly released on bail.

The car is believed to be driven by Hilton’s boyfriend, nightclub owner Cy Waits, while Hilton was in the passenger seat. The car was pulled over close to the Wynn Hotel and Casino because police thought they smelled marijuana coming from inside, Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin told the Associated Press.

Hilton had a previous drug-related arrest earlier this summer when she was questioned by South African police during the World Cup last month on suspicion of marijuana charges. But she was later released and wasn’t charged.
