After two sexual harassment lawsuits were filed against Casey Affleck by two women who worked on his documentary ‘I’m Still Here,’ the director settle both out of court, PEOPLE reported on September 15. Amanda White and Magdalena Gorka, who both worked as producers on the movie about Affleck’s brother-in-law, Academy Award-nominated actor Joaquin Phoenix, sue for $2 million and $2.25 million, respectively, in July.
After Affleck threatened to countersue the two women, “the disputes between Flemmy Productions, LLC and Casey Affleck with in connection with the film ‘I’m Still Here’ have been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties and the lawsuits are being dismissed,” his reps said in a statement. The financial details weren’t publicly disclosed. The settlements are believed to have come after the two women held a secret mediation with Affleck a few weeks ago.
