The actors of the highly-anticipated Marvel superhero movie ‘Thor’ are heading back in front of the camera for major re-shoots, Cinemablend.com reported on October 10. Director Kenneth Branagh isn’t just bringing his actors back to add additional close-up shots; he wants to bring in additional minor characters with non-speaking roles.

The extras would be ‘Nordic’ men, women and children with what Branagh calls “charactery faces.”  There’s no official word yet on how extensive the reshoots will be.

It’s common for directors to bring actors back during post-production to film additional scenes after seeing how the pacing of the movie is going while they edit. There’s no word yet if there are major problems with the movie the way it is, and Cinema Blend is suggesting Branagh just wants to make the shoots he already has better. The movie hits theaters on May 6, 2011.

  1. I hope this doesn't mean that there are problems with the movie.

(But we'll go with an intentionally misleading and unprofessional headline to attract traffic to this dismal site and then wonder why nobody gives us exclusives).

    WELL DONE, M-Fers.
