Greg and Colin Strause, the directors of the upcoming anticipated movie ‘Skyline,’ set to be released on November 12, are already working on a sequel. The brothers said they have already done a 45 page treatment for a second film.

The Strause brothers plan on going ahead with it, as long as the first makes “a tenth of what a normal event movie does.” While Sony, the studio behind ‘Skyline,’ hasn’t released an official budget amount for the movie, as a comparison, ‘Iron Man 2’ made $300 million.

But the Strause brothers may have to pay legal fees to Sony before a sequel can be green lit. Sony is accusing Hydraulx, the brother’s effects company that has done work on ‘Battle: Los Angeles,’ scheduled to be released in March 2011, of stealing effects to use in ‘Skyline.’ The two movies have a similar theme of aliens destructing L.A. But those rumors have just brought more hype to ‘Skyline.’

  1. Interesting. I hope the movie won't flop. Because if it would, nobody would be watching the second.
