Halloween fever is clearly in the air because not only did Paranormal Activity 2 snag the top spot at the box office, but it demolished the competition. The film might have gotten a serious budget increase going from just $15,000 to a $3 million tab, but it had no problem whatsoever blowing that price tag away its very first week in theaters. Katy Perry and Russell Brand married on October 23 at the luxury northwestern Indian resort Aman-e-Khas, the Huffington Post is reporting. While the two tried to keep details of the ceremony private since they got engaged in December, it was also reported that they had a traditional Hindu ceremony. The wedding, which was conducted by a Hindu priest, was part of a six-day celebration, including a Bollywood-themed party the night before. The 25-year-old singer and the 35-year-old actor-comedian both wore traditional Indian attire at the ceremony. James Cameron is trying to get director Louis Leterrier to helm the upcoming ‘Fantastic Voyage’ movie, Cinemablend.com is reporting. The ‘Avatar’ director and writer wants Leterrier in part because his last movie, ‘Clash of the Titans,’ grossed nearly half a billion dollars worldwide, despite receiving poor critical reviews. The news comes after it was revealed that Cameron brought in ‘Shutter Island’ writer Laeta Kalogridis to put the finishing touches on the script of Fox’s new remake. The production team for ‘Fantastic Voyage,’ which is based on a ride in Disney World’s Epcot park, is trying to start shooting early next year, as Leterrier is currently free. The SyFy network has greenlit  another ‘Battlestar Galactica’ prequel series, even though it’s still airing its current prequel, ‘Caprica,’ Slashfilm.com is reporting. The new two hour pilot, titled ‘Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome,’ will follow a young William Adama as he serves as a Viper pilot during the first Cylon war. He is ordered to serve during a top secret, but dangerous, mission during the war with the Cylon robots. ‘Blood and Chrome’ is rumored to focus more on the action that was customary during the original re-imaged series SyFy ran for four seasons, starting in 2004.
