After Gwyneth Paltrow received rave reviews for her live singing debut at the CMA ceremony on November 10, the Academy Award-winning actress told Access Hollywood that she asked Faith Hill for help to prepare. The lead actress of the upcoming movie ‘Country Strong’ also said that she asked her friend Beyonce for help, and studied her concerts for confidence.
Paltrow performed four songs for the movie’s soundtrack. To help promote both the soundtrack and the movie, Paltrow overcame her fears to sing live. Fellow musicians, including CMA co-host and Entertainer of the Year recipient Brad Paisley, showed their support for the actress. Paisley said “She looked like she’s been doing this her whole life…When did she find time to go out and learn how to be a singer?”
Miranda Lambert, who was another big winner of the night, also said Paltrow “did a great job…it was awesome, she has a great voice.” The singers’ praise comes after Paltrow sang in her 2000 movie ‘Duets.’ She is also scheduled to sing the Rihanna song ‘Umbrella’ in an upcoming episode of ‘Glee.’
