The memorial service in Rancho Santa Fe, California for former ‘Bachelorette’ contestant Julien Hug, which was held on November 12, was attended by approximately 500 guests, RadarOnline.com is reporting. Hug’s live-in girlfriend, Jennifer Bell, and his parents, Denise and Bertrand, spoke at the service, and discussed their heartbreak.

Bell said “I will miss every night where we would lie in bed…he would whisper in my ear and say I love you.” She added that she doesn’t like being asked about Hug’s appearance on the fifth season of the hit ABC reality dating show, where he appeared on the first two episodes to vie for Jillian Harris’ affections.

Hug’s parents decided to share their son’s suicide note. He explained the pain he carried around with him while suffering from depression. He also apologized for his actions, saying “I am so sorry to do this to you. I feel only love for you mom and dad. But I’m terribly sad everyday.”

The body of 35-year-old Hug was found on November 3 in the remote Pinyon Pines area off of State Route 74a Highway, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles. He had shot himself in his car.

  1. Sorry but some of your info is incorrect. I was at the service. You misquoted Jen and his whereabouts when he died. Please recheck the facts.
