Celebrity jeweler Jacob & Co. has filed a lawsuit against Courtney Love, saying the Hole singer hasn’t returned nearly $114.000 worth of borrowed jewels, Popeater.com is reporting. Love was given a white gold, floral-design mesh bracelet; a pair of white gold and diamond hoop earrings; and two white gold and diamond chains on September 21, and has only returned the bracelet.
Love told Jacob & Co. workers that she lost the other items, but the jeweler’s lawyer, Jeffrey Klarsfeld, said she is still responsible for them. According to their agreement, the actress is still being held responsible for the jewels, even if she lost or damaged them. The lawsuit states that if she can’t find them, she will have to pay the company their retail value of $113,700.
Madonna, Elton John, the Notorious B.I.G. and Kanye West are among the other celebrities who have worn Jacob & Co. jewels. The rapper even mentioned the company in his song ‘Diamonds From Sierra Leone.’
