Angelina Jolie is so tired of how Americans have rewritten the history of Thanksgiving that she decided her and her family wouldn’t be celebrating the holiday this year, Popeater.com is reporting. The star of the upcoming thriller ‘The Tourist’ doesn’t approve of Americans glorifying the white European settlers who took land from the Native Americans.

Not only did Jolie not want to celebrate one race dominating another, but she didn’t “want to teach her multi-cultural family how to celebrate a story of murder,” the website added. The Academy Award-winning actress made sure her family wasn’t in America on Thanksgiving, and instead focused on filming her directorial debut in Budapest.

The news comes after her partner, Brad Pitt, told ‘EXTRA’ that he would make a turkey for his family on Thanksgiving no matter where they were. But Jolie was insistent that she wouldn’t be a part of the holiday.
